Our team are specialists in hand lamination and have extensive experience manufacturing large structures such as our modular building range, boat hulls, water treatment tanks along with other large composite products. To manufacture these parts effectively we utilise fibreglass spray up equipment and specialist extraction equipment.
At Chester Composites we have a team dedicated to manufacturing complex and intricate parts where the cosmetic finish, structural performance and longevity are critical. This team has manufactured a range of parts that have had to endure the harshest of environments and performance criteria.
At Chester Composites we are always trying to improve our production methods by utilising advanced manufacturing techniques. We utilise resin infusion processes when manufacturing large thin parts where the strength of the product is critical. It also offers better control over resin-to-fibre ratio and often results in a higher quality laminate. We have manufactured carbon fibre automotive parts, pop top roofs, Kevlar impact resistant panels and other performance critical parts using this method of production.
Our fabrication/installation team not only install our products but other extruded GRP products. We have significant experience installing GRP grating in a range of environments such as marine, rail, manufacturing, and water treatment plants. We have the ability in utilising premanufactured GRP products and fabricating them into different applications such as gantries, walkways, platforms, steps, and railings.
We supply a range of GRP grating, pultruded box and a range of tube section that can be installed in many applications.
Chester Composites Ltd are specialists in the repair of composite materials. Our company started in 2014 where we undertook a significant level of Rowing Boat shell repairs. During this time, we became experts in the repair of high-performance carbon composites. We can repair all types of composite materials, ensuring our repairs have minimal weight gain and are as strong or stronger than the original product.
As part of our composite manufacturing and repair processes, we also have an onsite 12m x 3m industrial spray booth, so we can professionally coat our composite parts. We have significant experience coating composites and plastics and have carried out full resprays of large composite products. We meticulously prepare the surface ensuring that any blemishes are dealt with so we can provide the best finish possible.
Our award-winning design and engineering team have a proven track record in delivering tailored composite solutions to meet our customer’s needs. We can design complex composite products taking into account strength, longevity, and cosmetic appearance.
We also have a substantial amount of experience designing composite modular buildings, we work closely with chartered architects to ensure any building we create is fully compliant for its destination.
Composite products have great structural and mechanical properties, but these can be further improved upon when they’re combined with steel work. At Chester Composites we have a steel fabrication team that manufacture a range of structural steel framework and components. We provide a standalone steel design and fabrication service.
